juliana Kockearly childhood directorMs. Juliana graduated from Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN in 2022 with a degree in Elementary Education. She moved to Tennessee with her husband Adam in the summer of 2022 and began serving as director here at Christ Our Savior! Ms. Juliana enjoys anything that let's her get in touch with her creative side- especially painting.

emma turrifflead teacher, curriculum builderMiss Emma graduated from Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN, to study Early Childhood Education. Emma took a semester off during her time in college to work here at Christ Our Savior Academy in 2020. After graduating in 2021, she served for one year as the Director and Lead Teacher of Calvary Lutheran Preschool and Kindergarten in Bellevue Washington. Emma moved to Tennessee from Washington in the summer of 2022 and is excited to continue working with young children at COS Academy. Emma enjoys hiking, camping, road trips, and sharing the saving news of Jesus with preschool children and their families!
kristin lenartlead teacher, Preschool 1Ms. Kristin joined COS Academy in August 2019. Before joining COS Academy, she served for 3 years as an assistant teacher in a preschool in Columbia, working primarily with children with developmental delays. Kristin has also spent several years as a parent volunteer at her daughters' elementary schools. Kristin has a passion for teaching and enjoys seeing the smiles on the children's faces as they learn something new. She is also excited to be able to share her love and wonder of Jesus with the children she teaches. Ms. Kristin was born and raised in Columbia. She now lives in Spring Hill with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys reading, doing craft projects, and being outdoors.
Teresa BrownAssistant teacher, Preschool 2Ms. Terry carries over 15 years of experience as a preschool teacher at COS Academy and her 23+ years of experience as a mother of three to ensure that each child reaches their full potential in learning. She works hard to lovingly understand each student and to help them exceed expectations. Motivated by the love of her Savior, Terry shows love, patience, and kindness to each student as she helps them to grow and learn. Terry's bright personality adds enthusiasm and energy to the classroom which is reflected in the children she teaches.
Sarah CrassMorning care, curriculum builderMs. Sarah has a passion for early childhood education. She has contributed so much to building our school curriculum. Sarah graduated from Martin Luther College in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood & Elementary Education. She served as a director in Tomah Wisconsin before moving to Tennessee with her husband and continuing her work with preschool children at COSA!
Sarah and her husband have a beautiful baby girl named Juliet who sometimes greets families at drop-off time. Sarah enjoys hiking, kayaking, arts and crafts, and sharing the good news of our Savior to preschoolers and their families! Catherine Saamteacher aid, preschool 1Catherine (Miss. Catherine) joined the COSA staff in 2021. She serves as an assistant in both the part-time and full-time programs.
Catherine joins us with childcare experience from all over the world! She has her degree in Secondary Education from the Philippines and served as a nanny for all ages in Hong Kong before moving to the US. We are so thankful that she is part of the COSA family! Dory Holcombteacher aid, preschool 1Dory (Ms. Dory) joined the COSA staff in 2022. She serves as an assistant in both the part-time and the full-time classrooms. Dory graduated from Santa Fe Unit Highschool in 2021.
She is an absolute natural with the children and treats them with compassion! When asked, Ms. Dory said her favorite part about working with children is feeling like a child herself again! You will probably find Dory running around with the kids at recess or laughing with the children at work time! |
